My first dreamed job was become a chef, since I was very young I enjoy a lot eating, so with the time I begin to interest in the way my favorites foods was made, also me and my family used to go to restaurants in especial situations so I develop a passion for the food and all it different forms. The year I didn't study I saved some money and I signed up in a cooking course and also began to cook for my family and help my mom and grandma to prepare a lot of different dishes. I enjoyed it a lot. Actually I still cooking sometimes. Actually I thought about studying gastronomy but I didn’t because I have a friend who was studying it and he told me a lot of things that you don't see when you watch the carrier from outside, he told me that it's very difficult earn a good salary when you start to work, and you have to work a lot of time after can be promoted, also he told me about the constant ambient of stress that exist in the professional kitchens. Another things that I didn't like about the idea of work profesionaly like a chef is that you always work in indoors with a lot of noise and the only posibility of a business trip that I can imagine is if you get transferred to another branch of the restaurant.
So I finally decide to study Arqueology but dont think I am sad, I love my carrier and also I still coocking, its normal that people change their interest over the time and for me cooking will always stay with my but in not profesional way.
I'm very glad that you haven't given up cooking Vicente, I like cooking very much too! I consider it a very good hobby to combine with a profession.
ResponderEliminarIt's good that you can still doing both, is very valid find another interest, and it doesn't mean that you're gonna stop cooking, im glad that you didn't had to chosee between one of them.
